Anyway to move your base?
I picked a planet early on before I knew much about the other galaxies, but my base is kinda big as in I've put a lot of stuff down already. Is there anyway to pick up the items and move them into my inventory, or once you place an item, at least move it's location? thanks

no, unless it's one of the portable devices, everything else you've put down must be scrapped and rebuilt if you want to move it.

What about my base scientist and exosuit upgrade I got for free for my planet (to protect me from whatever element), how do I get new ones if I delete my base?

Suit upgrades are not attached to a base. BP's are not attached to a base. Once you learn a BP it's in your memory to the end of the game.

As far as moving a base, you can simply build another one in a different spot or planet or galaxy. Then build a terminal and interact with it and your scientist or farmer move to the new location.

Then go back and delete whatever or delete the whole original base using the base computer. It's wise to delete any base you are not going to use anymore. You will get back some of the materials and there is a thing called previous base cache but I've never used it.

If you are adventurous there is a way to edit the save file and move a base but you better know what you are doing, and have a good backup.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I just started playing this game, a little late to the party. My old computer wasn't good enough to play it.

My biosuit upgrade I picked (the one the game gives you for free as a quest reward) was for radioactive planet, is there anyway to change it, say, if I want to move to a frozen planet? thanks

No, there are four different upgrades to protect against heat, cold, toxicity and radiation. You need to purchase each separately and install them to get the benefits. You can't switch one to the other.

Also, don't worry about where your base is. I have about 20 bases all over the place. One is my main but the others are where I go to get resources and to teleport quickly.

I agree, don't move the base. At the place you want to move your base TO, you just drop a mini base an teleporter to connect to your existing base. Which brings m interesting question, has anyone compared NMS load times in teleporter between hdd, sata ssd and nvme?

You can use Blender, NMS add-in for Blender, and Save Game Editor to copy the contents of an existing base and move it to another planet.
