(ISSUE RESOLVED) How do I summon a ship that's missing launch thruster fuel?

See title. It's not letting me summon my ship. I'm on a different planet now (warped there from Nexus) and the ship didn't come with. Went to a space station (using a portal) and it won't let me summon it there either. It says select a landing destination but when I go to point at one (I'm in VR) nothing happens.

Edit: It was a bug. They fixed it. I got my ship back. Thank you everyone who gave me advice on how to resolve this issue. I truly appreciate it.

If you have run out of thruster fuel on the ship then it can not be summoned until you are close enough in range to refuel it.

Have you got a freighter? If you have more than one ship summon one of those instead and use that to fly back to the freighter or your ship and refuel it.

If you have only one ship it's time to find a second crashed ship, or purchase a cheap one. You could portal back to your base but not sure if you can summon it there but you could try.

A note about the freighter: Install the distance transfer matter beam for passing back and forth resources and exocars over a long distance when the fregither is residing in the same system as yourself.

if you switch ships it will end up on your freighter will it not? Not saying it makes any game play sense whatsoever, unexplained mechanics are the bane of gaming. So disappointed...

I don't have a freighter yet.

If you have a freighter land on it and your ship without fuel will be there in storage. It's a chicken and egg situation the ships will exist but you need the freighter to access them. The first freighter is free and requires you to complete some missions (I forget which) and the NPC will offer you it.

Thats a pickle, other then scrapping a ship to have another appear after i am not sure.

You might try one thing visit a NPC dwelling with a landing pad or a Trading Post. You could possibly summon a ship using the little terminals by the pad. That might be a workaround.

How are you in a space station without a ship??????? doesnt need fuel for it to be summoned to nexus or station after portal...Are you trying to switch a current ship to one without fuel??

You also don't require fuel to launch ship from nexus /station/ any landing pad...

I used a portal I built to get to the space station.

You could try dying and see where you respawn. Make a game back up and experiment to see if by default after a death your ship is enabled. I guess too you have tried to load a previous manual save when the ship was fuelled.

When you portal back to your home base does your ship not appear by your base or landing pad?

You ignored the question. You seem to be trolling or just not understanding basic gameplay that you should already know by time u built a portal....

The player currently only owns one ship which ran out of fuel. If you walk away from your starship it can not be summoned to you until it is refuelled. If you own a freighter and another ship you can summon the other to use that instead.

But I do understand the point that if he went to a station, it should have followed him there...fuel or no fuel, you are never without a ship. That is a basic of the game.
