Trouble with final step of 'Awakenings'

The last step; Find Base Modules; Unearth Blueprints is not finishing.

I've build a rudimentary base, built the Constuction Research Unit, and have been digging up all kinds of stuff on two planets, but when I go back to the CRU, it tells me to keep digging. It's been hours now. I found something that said it was blueprints, but that didn't work.

i think NMS changed the quest
just set a quest you like in mission protocol

I'm very new. I have no idea what 'mission protocol' is.

Mission selected changes oddly at times. This will block you from completing certain missions. You have to periodically check and make sure your on the right mission you WANT to be on.

This is intended as it hasn't changed since launch.

I appreciate your candor, but this doesn't really help me. I haven't really learned how to check if I'm on the right mission. I thought I only had one, the intro thing, or something.

Go to your main menu... ESC on the keyboard. On the controller, it's the menu button with 3 lines.

Go to your log tab and highlight the missions you were working on to get the directions to pop up. You will have to make sure the current mission you are working is highlighted to get further details.

While there, inspect all tabs so that you know what you have available to you. This is separate from your inventory.

I went there, and the only mission I have is Awakenings. It say I need salvaged data from buried technology. I have 14 salvaged datas that I got from buried tech, just like it says, but it keeps telling me to get salvage data and come back.

I'm unsure of your exact spot in the mission. However, this usually follows when it wants you to purchase something from the construction unit. This is usually the stage where you purchase a teleporter, bio fuel source and connect the two with a wire. But usually there is something you need to purchase with the salvaged data to progress forward. You probably have a mission in your log telling you to purchase a specific item.

I only have the one, Awakenings. It says I need to expand my base, which I did just once, I think, with walls. The only thing open in the construction device needs carbon nanotubes to manufacture. How do I get carbon nanotubes?

That's easy enough. In your suit inventory, or any inventory for that matter, but since you are on foot, your suit inventory for now. Click A, from a controller, I don't remember from the key board, your goal is to construct an item. Scroll the list to find the item you want to construct. It will be dark if you don't have the materials but hovering over it will tell you what and how many you need.
