Can't rebuild Storage Containers
I built and deleted some Storage Containers and now only have 7 and can't build the other 3. Is this a common problem and is there a way around this to build the other 3?

What do you mean with "can't build"? do you get an error message?

Typically, that mean you already install the storage container nearby...it is easy to place one without knowing it and sometimes pretty far away from where you are working. Might want to check the area.

No, I haven't built any others anywhere else.

You can only build one of each type storage container in each base. It is common when messing around with positioning things on bases you accidentally place the item where you didn't want by accident, (like far off behind a rock or buried in the ground), and then because you can't see it, you think the game is preventing you from building it at all. Only one set of storage containers per base. Consequently, you likely placed some underground by accident, or behind a rock.

I did this once on a base and it was a few months later that I found the lost storage container....somehow it ended up hundreds of u away behind a rock.

Depending on how far you are in building your base, you can easily delete the base and restart it if you can't find where you left them. That will remove any lost containers automatically no matter where they are.

No, it is exactly as I said. I built one #3, didn't like where it was placed and deleted it without realising that I could just move it, tried to rebuild #3 and had to move to the next #4 as it wouldn't let me build #3. did this once more and its now only 8 that I can build in my base. There are no big enough rocks around me to hide a storage container and it is completely messed up if I could accidentally build them underground. I now have to dig up my base just to see if i did? I'm far enough into building my base that i want to deleted it.

Not really, since storage containers snap to other cuboid things, it's actually quite easy to put it underground by accident, as it snaps there automatically if you drift in that direction and are slightly uncoordinated in your finger press and release. I haven't yet seen a specific bug where storage containers suddenly can't be placed...no other posts about it. My guess it is somewhere attached to the bottom of a cuboid somewhere.

well I dug down below the existing containers and can't find any others. I built a wooden structure and was having problems placing them for sure and none of then snapped into place, I wish they had

Well try this experiment: back up your save game folder (the "st-12344567890123456" folder, the number will be different), but then duplicate it so you have two of the same folder. Assign one its usual name and the other some backup name. Then go to your base, delete it at the base computer, put a new base computer down and see if you can build all the storage containers side by side. If you can, then the problem is that you built the container already....somewhere, and you just forgot where. Afterwards, just rename the backup folder the normal save game name and continue on.

I encountered a similar bug recently but since frontiers
Built all units , deleted one and got a message stating it was already built or something like that
Was finally able to place it once again after disconnecting each of my other storage containers from the grid (the way i build this only took one edit so wasnt too complicated to try)
Might be worth a try, hope it helps

Well I know for certain I haven't built any others anywhere else.
