Can't fix scanner at the beginning of game!!!

I've collected 150/150 Ferrite Dust. I'm in my Equipment, under the Catalogue tab and have found my Scanner. I'm playing with an Xbox controller. I've tried clicking on X, A, Y and all of them for a long period of time also! Clicking on B brings me back to the game. And guess what happens? Absolutely NOTHING!!! And who's the guy that said we were too f'n stupid to understand the game cause it was all about reading comprehension and basic brain function? Would LOVE to measure my intelligence against yours buddy, ANYTIME!!! Might've lost a lot of IQ points cause of my 8 TBI's but I'd still go up against you any day Mr. wizard_of_woz! Can anyone please tell me what the freaking problem is, if I'm missing something or what part of my brain isn't functioning properly cause so far, all I've gotten to do is ducking die! And I was looking forward to playing this game...

You have to access the Inventory screens, with the left Options Back button. There you have to switch to your Multi-Tool where you can choose the scanner and repair it.
The Catalogue is really as iit name say "a catalogue".

Thanks so much for having responded to me and shown me where it was! I'd give you a kiss if I could xxx lol Now it says: Fix all damaged subsystems to repair. Why does it say that? Thanks again, greatly appreciated! I GOT IT! Will try to figure out the rest as I go along. You will have been my life saver here buddy so thanks a million. I was gonna uninstall the game just before you came. I think I will enjoy this game very much once I get the hang of it. Have a great day and a super weekend!
