How to get more Ship technology slots?

I know i can use the terminal to get more storage slots for ships but unlike the exosuit vendor where you can actually get more tech slots, there seem to be no way of adding more tech slots to a ship. Is it possible even?

You need to use the terminal where you scrap ships. You can either buy the slot or use a Storage Augmentation Module.

When your buying slots, you need to switch to the tech tab.

To install tech in your ship you need not to click on a empty slot but hower with the mouse over the tech and push the right shortcut displayed onscreen. The tech changes in 'install' mode and you need to click in the ship icon above and chose the slot to install it.
