But for the time being, the convenient teleport in and out of your ship's cockpit just works..
This is only a heads up for ED fans, I don't really think we should be talking about ED here though. NMS > ED

I realise the "cockpit only fighter types are.. yes."
But there are many the size of trucks, and articulated lorry trailers, way big enough for some interior living props, which are already in-game, for base building.
Even just for immersion .
And lets put it this way, both in ED, and SC, and all of the shows etc mentioned, this aspect is universally enjoyed, and appreciated.
So not talking about huge freighters / frigate type ships. But mid to small, "explorer" sized, If you could swivel (or whatever) you seat, and walk through your ship as you exit.
Whether you would welcome this or not. There is no doubting, that it would bring a whole lever of realism passing through your mini mobile "Base away from your base." And exist though the side door, real cargo hold etc.
Last point.
Look at the Razor Crest from Mandalorian, again there is just enough room for his bunk, a toilet, weapons, and bounty "cryofeeze" its not a BIG ship.
But the interior adds so so much to the whole "Mandalorian experience."
It seems silly to have an immense universe to explore and want to spend time in space in a cramped room.
However, even if they be make fun and useful there are several things that are more informant and need to be addressed first included (but not limited to) overhaul and expansion of planet generation (biome, flora and fauna), combat system (more tings to fights), and mission system (more complex missions and mission mechanics, puzzles, ect). And of course more bug hunting.
Does not want to talk about ED then makes a further opinion to further talk about ED, kek. Kids these days.
