Hope this may help lets us know.
But to be honest the files for No Mans Sky are so small its just as easy to carry on installing them manually as Vortex is more for the bigger types of mods for Skyrim / Fallout ect
Vortex does find the game and it's says it's "managed"
It's then when I get the error message.
"Failed to set game mode ... Mod directory missing C:/Games/Steam/steamapps/common/No mans Sky/binaries/GAMEDATA/PCBANKS/MODS"
And it's then that I noticed that the file path it was searching for was incorrect.
I have created the "MOD" folder on the same drive but that path is ..
"C:/Games/Steam/steamapps/common/No mans Sky/GAMEDATA/PCBANKS/MODS" ....
I'll just do as you say and keep installing manually as it works fine.
I just thought that NMS would be a good intro into using Vortex as I'd probably only have 15-20 mods.
I'm a little confused about this "underscore" method to sort the mods and thought Vortex would help ... it's not to be, unfortunately ...
I also heavily mod both Skyrim and F4 but I use Mod Organiser (MO2) to do that.
Maybe, someday, someone will write a nice simple tool for NMS ... you know ... idiot proof ...
But, again, Groovaholic ... many thanks for your time and input ... it was most appreciated.
You're only as old as you feel . . . so go feel young
So you're over here too ... a big hi from me.
As you can see, it didn't take me long to break something. ...
I tried changing the MODS to Mods but no luck ...
Vortex still thinks the GAMEDATA/PCBANKS/Mods is in the Binaries folder
