Changing Races
I just saw someone equip the chameleon race and I've tried both Mods I could find the "Beheading" mod and the "Armor" mod . Both are severely outdated and while the Armor one allowed me to play the game nothing came up. The beheading crashed when I tried to load in. Does anyone know how I can get more races or at least pick one to add? even if I have to learn to mod it myself I'll do it I just need instructions.

Theres also a "gecko" head in the quicksilver shop, not a Gek, just saying :p

no yeah i know that. There's other alien races in the game though, npc, I just saw someone changing to one that isn't a playable one but the mod's I've found are severely outdated and either dont load or crash the game. But someone clearly has something working and I want to hunt it down. I want that gecko class !

What you're looking for is already in game, the appearance modifier. Go to a space station or the anomaly, on stations it's on the left side where all the vendors are. On the anomaly just go up the ramp on the left.

I'm assuming you mean the Gek race when you say "gecko head", which if you want that just change your race to the Gek. If you're referring to one of the more unique heads, then it's probably one of the Travelers.

its not under traveler either. Already been through all of it. Check screen shot. there's 3 mods now I've found that had added numerous other races to the game but they've been outdated since last year and they either dont load or crash the game now. but I just saw someone equipping That guys head [screenshot]

Scratch that just saw your screenshot, you're looking for the Iteration Tethys Visage, which is a unlockable helmet from the quicksilver shop.

It's 3200 quicksilver so I'd get to grinding if I were you

lol holy crap thats just dumb. that kind of stuff should just be free. i mean whats it really doing? that explains why all the mods dont work then.

It is free. You earn quicksilver ingame or you can just cheat.

There's no shame in cheating, it's a singleplayer game at heart, with coop elements. If you don't want to take part in weekly challenge missions in the Nexus, just use a save editor to give yourself quicksilver.


Edit: You will not get banned. Modifications are allowed and supported.

is that how you get the quicksilver with a mod? I couldnt find any mods that mentioned adding quicksilver. is there a specific save editor in mind?

https://github.com/goatfungus/NMSSaveEditor For the updated version. I don't believe it has Origins stuff yet but it still works.

This is the mods page for it which doesnt seem to be updated.

Of course, backup your saves.

thanks for this, got the qs. Gonna save this like I did with Grim Dawn in case something happens to my file or I forgot to backup after so long. Very useful tool if used responsibility. I wouldn't have minded grinding that QS but at that rate I would never get it, not with 3 kids and a wife :8bitheart:
