to whoever gave me 5 Starship AI Valves for no reason!
um thanks I guess. I now have over 250 million ...
I'm not sure if someone gave them to me or what but I logged on and noticed I had five of them somehow.

This is happening very often in Nexus. I got AI valves, stasis devices, void eggs and other stuff. I give to others stacks of gold and silver, sometimes platinum if I have a time to refine. I gave out many Atlas passes as not everyone is comfortable breaking into facilities and shooting those little flying cans of pugneum etc.

If you do not like it you could disable multiplayer in settings...

Yes, happened to me too. Cashed them in without thinking, then noticed my balance had shot up from 13m to 263m. Ended up finding creative ways of getting rid of it as it's my Permadeath game and I want it to be hard.

Odd that it's happening so recently. I've had gifts before, a handful of sodium, the odd gek relic, but nothing like this. I suspect whoever is doing this is giving away scripted items from a save editor.

Doesn't have to be the case. Some ppl have so much money they do scrapping for fun and to loosen their wallet. AI are very often reward from scrapping. I do that from time to time... And honestly I either give expensive parts away or I just drop them because I am too lazy to go to the terminal to sell those... The following day my wallet is full anyway after all daily stuff (frigate expeditions, planet surveys, refining etc...)

I have 5000 hours in game, enjoy scrapping and exploring but have never seen an AI Valve. My assumption is that these are editor introduced especially in large quality. They do exist and can be gotten from scrapping ships but only very rarely without exploits or dupe glitches.

Incorrect. Just max all the slots for an exotic and scrap it (should get 120+ million scrap value)
Look in the scrap and you will get 2 x Starship AI Valves worth 50 million units each.
They are a perfectly valid component found by scrapping...

Not very rarely... always

Hello, I been giving away Starship AI valves in stacks of 5 to help new players I farm them during the week and go out on the weekends most of the time I ask if anyone needs Unit help.

I mean, I wish I got into the Nexus randomly and got that much money! haha. I could finally get a Spaceship I'd really like and just chill out flying in space. Whoever doesn't want em I'll gladly get "rid" of em for you :P

Someone just did the same thing to me, saved me from having to grind for hundreds of hours. Thanks.

I give a stack of activated indium to a new player every day. Enough to be a help, not enough to ruin his gameplay. Also gives him a hint on how to make money himself.
I also give out 5 nip nip buds almost every time I am in the nexus to everyone there for RP reasons, since I play as a Gek.

Last time when I got items from someone on Anomaly, I just deleted them. This could bring me 76M but it would spoil the game.

Weird....i've also just been given 5 stacks of these AI Valves in the nexus by an anon player, and i'm not sure if i'm happy or annoyed....i already had over 600m without really trying too hard !
I generally prefer to play solo and i'd only switched 'network' back on to see all the ships in the nexus.
Then someone random jumped in a group with me at the last minute, and we completed a mission, and on my return i suddenly out of the blue, get this gift from a stranger.
I will keep the network on i think, as it's nice to see the ships, but limit 'group setting' to friend only.

Hey, the best gift I ever got was a fill stack of V1 atlas passes. :steamsad:

I'm typically giving away Salvaged Tech, Nip Nip buds, and Stasis Devices in the Nexus. No editing required (or needed), I just have several bases specializing in SD components so I make some whenever I have time. It's easy to do, and it's fun watching newbies lose their minds when they suddenly have a boost. If they're not interested, that's fine, just give the stuff to someone else who does want it (or delete it outright).
There's no wrong or right way to play the game, whatever floats your boat is fine - just enjoy yourself. =)

I'm not sure there isn't something I haven't handed out in the Anomaly... usually it's just food items because I get tired of Cronos getting crumbs and slobber all over me, but yeah, I've passed out anything from some odd carbon to Atlas Passes to stacks of Stasis Chambers or Fusion Ignitors just because.
