New Blueprint formula

In the past, we were able to obtain new formula to increase our building supplies. I have new items to build for my base and ship but don't have the tools needed for building them.

Before this new update, I could raid a manufacturing center and receive some new blueprints but it doesn't seem to work that way any more.

How do I obtain plans for Hydraulic Wiring, Magnetic Resonator and the Amino Chamber?

I have two saves, one save I have more than 290 hours and have gotten all the formulas which include the above, and a second save with about 39 hours which I started over after the last major update and can't get the required blueprints.

I've got 5000+ game play hours and one save with 550 hours and never heard of these items.

These items were added as replacement for the 6 "compressed" materials (TetraCobalt, etc.) If you do not have the blueprints, you have to get them from Manufacturing Centers, just like pre-Origins; there was no change in that system, and you're just unlucky in finding ones that trigger the full blueprint tree as a reward.

Those are obtained the same way their old equivalents were before, at Manufacturing Centers.


The reward at those Centers is not always new blueprints. Sometimes it just gives you 1 random blueprint. Sometimes the reward is some other junk. Sometimes it's pick 2 blueprints of your choice from the tree.

I've gone to 2 manufacturing centers and correcting fixed the problem and I didn't get a request for crafting upgrades. They gave me an update to my ship and another one for my exopack. But, no new crafting was offered.

Best to be in a Gek system as the manufacturing centers are more complicit than the other races systems that often fail to initialize correctly.

So you're unlucky, like I said. The blueprint trees are not the only possible rewards from the Manufacturing Centers.

EDIT: In fact, some of the reward structures are flat out empty, though I've always assumed these are relics of really old builds of the game.

It happens. As already stated, there are multiple rewards possible. Took me about 15 or so centers to get all the plans just from that tree alone. Have not touched the other tree that you can get.

I'm still on my original save file, over 2900 hours, and these are apparently craft-able from within inventory.

Right after Origin dropped, I found these were able to be crafted from my suit inventory.

I have no idea what they are used for, however:

Some of them still work that way.

I have noticed some of the manufacturing facility seem to stray from the normal. Even had one fail to do anything on a successful answer.

Have your Atlas Pass on you and go to the Cartographer and get the Secret Facilities maps. These will lead you to Manufacturing and Operations Centers.

They basically replaced the old Cobalt Mirror, Sodium Diode, etc.

If you look at some of the recipes for the items in your bases and modules they changed.

Ahhh, that makes sense now. Thanks for the explanation.
Been busy just checking on my bases, and exploring some of the new planet types and haven't had a need for those items yet.

I decided to try and get maps from the cartographer for secure sites. When I used one of these maps, I was able to find a manufacturer center that gave me the crafting plans that I was looking for. At least I got Magnetic Resonator and Amino Chamber, I can build more attachments for the ship.

You also, get random crafts as well.
