It's their OWN ENGINE, meaning it's not similar to ANY engine....

Unity isn't a graphics engine, it's a game engine. Additionally, Unity uses multiple various graphic APIs such as DirectX, Metal, OpenGL, and Vulkan.

I think No Man's Sky uses OpenGL and or Vulkan as their graphics API if I'm not mistaken.
