Disable Quest Reminders

I'm very much a fly around and enjoy the scenery guy, so I don't care much for the questing usually. I'd really like to be able to turn off the constant reminders that pop up on the HUD about your current quest. Is there a way to turn that off? I can't seem to find a way to NOT have a quest selected and can't find an option in the settings, so I'm not sure if it's even possible.

I just got the game a few days ago, and I am very much a "less is more" fan of huds, I don't think there are any toggle options other than turning off the entire hud. Try lowering the scale of the hud to see if that helps.

May find a mod that changes it, but not sure if they are compatible with the new update

I have had this problem for years. I try to do all the quest; not because they are interesting or compelling, but just to shut the damn quest 'advertisements' off, but they never finish.

Even when you have done everything, there is still the constant reminder to go talk to polonada or go to the center of the galaxy. The only solution I know of is to get a piece of cardboard and tape it to your monitor.

In fact, the sense I get when ever I fire up NMS is that someday I will finish all the annoying quests and then I can start exploring the universe without a 'guiding hand' oppressing my every thought.

There are a lot of bugs that have been around since the launch of this game that Hello Games has decided are low priority. It took 3 years just to get full, proper keybinding into the game. Pop-ups are one of the bugs that still haven't been fixed, unfortunately.

With the latest updates, I have switched to the Exploration guide for the log. That just shows status rather than some mission, but it tends to get switched to other things sometimes as well when teleporting, warping or reloading the game.

That is not a bug. It may be an annoyance, but definitely not a bug.

If only we could opt out of excessive hand holding. HG should account for people starting new game more then once.
