Quicksilver Nexus missions not ever showing up.
I just recently started playing and want to get some new heads. Unfortunately the Nexus never spawns quicksilver missions. Is this normal?

It's old. Older than the security protocols the game uses to communicate with the outside world.

Installing the "Easy Fix" should suffice; the update itself has been around for a while.

They seem to be infrequent. There is the weekend event for 1200 Q of course. You have to be quick for the others. I've tried to join 250 Q ones but often someone has them "reserved" for their friends. That's fine, but if their friends take a long time to show up it slows things down. I don't know if Nexus mechanics has a time limit or not. on starting missions.

Was planning to go and do Weekend -mission for nice sum of Quicksilver with friend.

Arrived to mission board, zero Quicksilver missions available; no daily nor weekend one.
Friend came to check and saw both, still nothing on my end.

Had to sit like 5 minutes there before game finally realized it should show said missions to me. Not sure why it felt like wasting my time, shrug.

Are you still using Windows 7?

I think certain multiplayer features are broken... I usually cannot join any mission that someone else has initialised, and if I do, it waits for a minute and kicks me back to the mission-join screen.

Today me and another player got paired up, and were sent to his system (I assume) and we met and did the mission together for a minute, and then I heard him say "Quoi--?" over the voice chat and he was gone. At his last location was a red exclamation mark icon, but no grave. What does the exclamation mark mean, maybe he got disconnected?

Yes but that shouldn't matter.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Win 7 does matter. My partner and I had the same issue on Win 7. Once I started the game on my Win 10 laptop all community content including quicksilver missions showed up. We upgraded both our PCs to Win 10, and now we can not only see quicksilver, we also see other people's bases and can rename stuff so others can see it, among many other advantages.

I can confirm: this is a specific Win7 problem, you have to do as U-Bandit says. Have done this on my Win7 rig and it works fine.

I'm still using Windows 7 and missions show up.

This was happening to me too. Not all the time, but a lot. I found in Network settings that you can restrict who goes on missions. If the initiator has his set to friends only, then you are out of luck. It takes a while before you are kicked back.

Sorry to bump this, but just curious if anybody knows why my Quicksilver missions aren't shown properly.

Once again I returned to mission board, just 4 Nanite or Unit -missions, no Quicksilver anywhere in sight.

Had to sit and spin my thumbs there for good 8 minutes until game realized that I actually had new QS mission available. In fact until then it didn't even show those new 3 tier rewards, just void egg.

I'm playing on Windows 10, no mods.

Sometimes there are no quicksilver missions available, but here's how to check that you can receive them: in your mission log, there must be Community Missions displayed with a time bar filling up. If this is the case your online connection is ok and you should receive QS missions at some point. If not, check your online connection, allow your firewall all connections for the gfame.

I was literally standing in front of terminal with my friends. They all could see rewards there, could see new items on shop and were just dancing around my character whilst waiting for my game to "update" for new stage.

The bar wasn't shown on the Quest log -entry either. Guess I'll need to check my firewall then.

Just kinda odd since problems just started out of nowhere, and only seems to affect me despite one of my group members connecting through same network.

This actually worked, I wasn't expecting that to fix my problem.

I have this same problem but running on Windows 10, and the game is allowed access through my firewall...
