Cannot place autonomous mining unit
I use my visor to locate a mineral deposit, then go through the analysis bit. However, the game won't let me build an autonomous mining unit there (or anywhere).

What's the deal? Thanks.

From what I can see, the autonomous units are placed on a normal resource patch, not the deep mining ones that you have to track down and analyze. The deep-level mining deposits are for mineral extractors (which require a base).

^ That is correct. AMU's must be placed on mineral nodes that can be mined with the terrain manipulator.
