So the NipNip is literally just another trash item to sell...this games crafting is so ludicrous. So many bad design choices. I want to like it, but they make it very hard.
Nothing in the game functions in a logical or consistent manner with their own lore, descriptions, etc.
And it's trash because the only real thing to do in the game is to grind for more things, building a base, buying and building a freighter, etc. These all involve money and materials, a tiny percentage of the available items in the game. The rest of those items exist only to be sold for money, whether they're producible or not. And almost every item, like this, is producible in a way that defies their own lore, and reasonable logic.
TL:DR it's vendor trash.
Just got Nipped myself. I can now officially pass the gas with my Gek bros...

agreed, you could play the game without the need to crafy hardly any of it, pointless fluff
