Experimental: Exocraft improvements?! Damn...
Damn, with improvements to Exocraft headed towards making them proper exploration vehicles now I'll have to work on the dang base missions.
I so want that new summoning capability.

Or they could have seen how a bike is used in Empyrion and thought - good idea let us add one to our collection. To be honest I just love my Roamer with the locate building updates.

anyone used new Pilgrim exocraft? is it a bike type craft?

The new exo is great but the summoning station is rather pointless currently. It cost 100 mag ferrite and one antimatter, you can build it on a planet that is not your base and summon any exo you have built. But the biggest sticking point is once you build on the new planet it stays there permantly you can't deconstuct it or redeploy it on another plant. This means if you want to planet hop and explore you have to carry around the mats to build the new station everytime which in my opionion makes it pointless, you might as well just build one of the old exo platforms of the one you want on the new planet.

The only current use I can see for it is if you build it on other planets in your home system to farm mats from. I just don't get why they won't give us a damn redeployable summoner already

@Befitzero can you link a screenshot for new exo?

It might be partly done, or waiting to see how we react to what is there now. I would have thought by the sounds of it, it could be picked up and redeployed. That is a pretty hefty cost for getting an Exocraft, but I guess it is cheaper than having all 4 Exocraft stations made at once.

Does it only work on a planet where existing Exocraft Stations are at, or can it work within a system or in different systems? Kind of got the impression from the text that it only works on the planet you've already got those stations on.

So far I have only tried in the same system, I will try and warp out to a diff one and try it.

The bike doesn't seem all that fast at first glance. If it wasn't for the speedometer, you'd think it was just clunky and awkward, and being no better than the Nomad.

After putting a set of S-Class engine and booster modules on it, it is pretty much the fastest vehicle in the game, beating a similarly upgraded Nomad out by several u/s. Even then, the max speed differences between all the crafts aren't that far apart from eachother. Though no surprise there Colossus is the slower of the four, max upgrade speed of 20 u/s, while the Pilgrim is 27(?) (doing his from memory, and have dyslexia).

Be careful with the Grip upgrade (+200% Forward Grip, -34% Angular Grip) upgrade. While that module does give you the best acceleration, it will make the Pilgrim drift, especially when boosting. If I was on a flat enough area, I can easily 'Tokyo Drift around my entire main base with the radius it has; making complete orbits like some crazy mini comet.

Well I just tried to summon on a planet in another system and nope it will not summon the exo unless you have the orig pads for them in the same system. This just adds in one more reason not to bother to build the new summoner, its only good to use in your home system if you have multiple planets in in. Boo, boo I say boo! They took a good idea and gimped it to the level of pointless.

It might just be pre-nerfed right now, and waiting on player feedback... I hope.

Bottom left corner. A spot that is easy to miss when so used to not seeing anything there for so long when driving. The text turns red when going 20+.
