Shadowplay Only Records Black Screen

I've had zero issues with recording NMS gameplay for the past 3 years on shadowplay. 5 days ago Nvidia decided it just doesn't wanna capture any footage from NMS. I have audio and the video file, just a black screen. Sometimes it doesn't even create the video file at all. Anyone else experiencing this?

I just tested. I was able to capture in game video/audio using Shadowplay without issue.

Win 10 64 bit
GTX 1080 Ti
Driver version 451.67

It must be something specific to your settings. Although I do not know what that could be.

Late answer, I know - but maybe it will still be helpful - if not to the OP to someone else looking for an answer.

This happens with games using certain border settings as a fixed state...
You can usually fix it by going into settings (alt-z if you haven't changed it), Privacy, and turning the slide option OFF for desktop recording.

You'll need to turn it back on for games like MineCraft, but once you know...

I just want to let you know that i spent the past 2hrs trying to fix this solution and it is now 4am.....it worked thank you SO MUCH i really wish i found this earlier THANK YOU AGAIN

i didnt update the new nVIDIA drivers yet ^^
but in case that nvidia doesnt capture the game, i have the old good FRAPS.

There is no such thing as Privacy > Desktop Recording on laptop though. What do? Since the settings here are very limited.
