Just like survival, if you get off the home starter planet, its trivial after that and your biggest concern is plutonium to launch & finding stuff to fend off pirates until your ship is buff. It quickly becomes easy and just a hassle with the resource issue.
I started a normal game at launch and put about 30 hrs into it. I just picked it up again and started a new survival save and have about 25ish hrs?
I just died 3 times relatively close to one another en route to planets searching for upgrades in my first system.
Now that I got the hang of survival I'm asking myself if it's even worth going through because the after death penalty is just annoying.
But I'm stubborn! Plus I can always go back to my normal save.
How much time in survival do you have? If i don't get my base up and running soon I may bail and go back to normal. What do you think
I have a home base thats awesome and it's hard for me to travel without getting intercepted.
Question is: how much can I upgrade in the first system?
I'm trying to build a base with a rover and mine the hell out of it. I have a weapon on my home planet I want before I take off. Can I achieve this in my home system or do I need to jump Out?
I dont have any atlas pass blueprints, I dont have a voltaic cell for my construction and I can't find any antimatter either.
But staying in the same system/planet will only get you so far.... For example: when you build a base and hire a few lifeforms, some of their requirements may require you to look in differnet systems to find what they need.
I'm enjoying everything and I'm making progress in other areas. There's a multitool for 2.1m at a trade outpost and I'm not leaving the system(for good) before I buy it.
I have to say my starting system is great. I have 6 planets so I know I have a bunch to explore. I just don't want to spent time doing something and fall flat on results because I took the wrong path.
Thank you :)
