Scan unique minerals?

I never found unique minerals, so what this means? That means I am stuck with this mission no matters what? Or do it does mean different?

Note that you can scan more than just creatures. You should be able to go to some planet, land, and scan deposits like iron as a type of mineral. Its "unique" in that it has to be different types of deposit (of which they are usually plenty).

No, I can't really "show" anything about it, don't have easy access to link video or images.

-Land on a planet
-Exit Ship
-Find an iron deposit
-Pull up your scanner (default 'F')
-Keep the iron deposit in your view until it is scanned (bar fills up, sound effect, notification of new discovery)
-Do this for X amount of unique types of deposts (i.e. you can't scan the same type of iron deposit)

This mission type is for scanning mineral deposits, so technically its not just iron.

Unique doesn't mean "special," it means distinct. You can't scan the same type of iron deposit 4 times, but you could find 4 different types of iron deposits.

As for location, pretty sure it can be anywhere.

Good thing is you can scan any uniques on any planet, any system and even return the mission to any space station, it doesnt matter. A good way to make money is take multiples of the same type of mission with same or similar tasks and you complete them at same time.
