Multiplayer not Showing up
i just got the game off of steam, and my friend has it on Xbox 1. When I go to play the game I see an option for multiplayer, but my friend on the Xbox does not have that option at all. Nor do they have an option in game for network or anything else that I have seen in the online guides for getting multiplayer started. They originally got the game from Xbox Gold account, and in trying to get multiplayer to work they bought the full game (again) but nothing we do seems to work, and I can't figure out why they don't even have a multiplayer option. can anyone help me out here? Please and Thank you.

Your friend may want to check their Xbox privacy settings to make sure all networking options are ok, and multiplayer is allowed for the game. Also sometimes parental options may prevent multiplayer to be allowed, not sure if that is the case here.

If the game is on Xbox Game Pass, they can visit xbox.com as well to check if their profile/account privacy settings are all setup correctly. Additionally they may have to visit the Microsoft store to check for any updates available for applications used.

I do however believe there are still some ongoing networking issues since the Crossplay update, so best to report the issue to Hello Games' Zendesk.

Thank you for your response. So far we have checked the xbox privacy settings, and the parental options. We tried Unplugging the Xbox and leaving it unplugged for 30 seconds. Manually checking for and console and game updates on the Xbox.

It was originally a game pass game, but they also tried purchasing it outright to see if that worked.

I have already turned in a ticket at Hello Games' Zendesk, but I figured it never hurts to check and see if others have any advice either.

If it helps they are on version 2.55.61121.0

Thank you again for your time, I will suggest they check out Xbox.com just to be certain. If you have any more advice I would love to hear it.

I'm having this trouble with my daughter's game I just bought. I bought it for her outright from xbox, not game on pass. She doesn't have the network options.

Multiplayer for No Man's Sky used to require Xbox Live gold or ultimate, but I believe that has been renamed/rolled into Game pass now. i.e. no Game Pass, no multiplayer options in NMS.

The Network options, literally, don't even show up if you don't have the subscription. Which is exactly what you're saying you are seeing.
