Storage Container 0 missing
When I was in the process of placing Storage Container 0 I abruptly got quest credit for placing it, without actually placing it. Now it won't let me place it at all, and says "Only 1 per base" when I try. When I'm at the base, I can transfer items from my inventory to the container, but I can't access the container and don't see it anywhere.

Any advice?

You need to construct this one during a tutorial or story mission, after which you get all of them. Which mission? Consult your log and activate the right one.

To fix this one you may need to edit the save directly with the save editor. The JSON editor in the save editor may show it placed already.

Can try another base in another system and see if you can place it if you do not want to go the above route. Depends on how much you have done creatively etc. Can also delete the base and rebuild it as well if you have done nothing "special".

Oh also there is a bug where base parts disappear a reload of a save brings them back into view.

Thanks, I went with just deleting the base.

I have the same issue. I can put stuff in and out of my storage container 0, but it's nowhere to be found.

It seems like there is a bug in the current build where if you rotate the object too much when placing it, it seems to disappear. Someone in another thread noticed that what is happening is the object's size becomes 0, so you may have placed it and just couldn't see it.

The fact you are getting the "1 per base" message and you don't know where it is means one thing:
You accidentally pressed the place button while not looking and it got flung somewhere in the environment. Easiest way to backtrack if you haven't built much is delete the base and start over. The longer way would be to hunt around until you find where you placed it by accident....that could take some time, or it could be quick depending on where it ended up.

Also, you don't have to get storage containers via the quest, you can get them in the Anomaly directly if you don't want to do the starter quests.
