Unable to join Friend
When i try and join my friend who is also playing on steam. his game sessions appears... then disappears...

No matter how many times i click on his game sessions it does nothing.. then sometimes it will say "Joining game" then "Connecting"... then disappear again.... lol

Yes both of us have MP turned on in the network thing.. ohh and we did add each other with the friend code thing. still nothing..

Any ideas?

I have the exact same issue happening. Also, when they enter the game, their Anomaly is completely empty. They cannot play multiplayer at all.

I can join my friends sessions but I can’t see his game player no sign in game.

Have you found any solution yet? Still nothing working so far for us.

Been having the same exact issues with a friend, he bought it off G2A though which is the only reason we've come up with. Any luck so far?

If you add eachother as friends to your "no man's sky friends list" using the NMS friend code, you should be able to see each other regardless of whether or not you're in the same group. As long as you're in the same system. I can see my wife, son and father in law even when not in group. 2 play on steam, 1 plays on xbox pass on PC.

I do have issues grouping, I tend to have to send a steam invite to my wife and she can join that way.

I've noticed if you start a solo game, and your friend hosts a multiplayer game, if you back out to main menu the session should appear.

Ensure you've got multiplayer enabled in network settings and "can join" to friends/invite only.

A thousand hours in game and no help from the forum about an empty anomaly YES multiplayer is enabled on pc using steam friend list shows up in game just constant no connection to matchmaking services and yes discovery online is working.

Must be the forums fault.

Check firewall settings to ensure game is permitted. My antivirus blocked the connection first time I launched the game and I didn't realize it. I had to unblock the application from my AV before I could see others in the anomaly or co-op.

I never could add someone to my in game friends from my steam list it always say something like couldn't be added

I'm having the same issue and my friends can't join me. We talk in discord to try to work out a solution. MP is enabled and my antivirus is not blocking it. Made sure were in the same mode still nothing. I don't see anyone posting a solution to this issue. We used to play together all the time.
