Most hostile Planet possible
As the title suggests, I'm on a hunt for the most inhospitable planet there is.
I have found plenty of "perfect" planets (no storms, no hazardous weather, friendly or low fauna, etc). What's the most inhospitable 'weather' for a planet? The idea was to build a base existing underground or under water while outside is extreme and will kill anyone without protection modules in a few minutes.

You need to watch the rate at whcih storms happen, this differs on difficult planets.
I can forsee that you will be deceived if you do your plan to build underground, NMS has limitations, don't expect good durable results, planet surface and flora will take your base over I'm afraid.

Yes, at least this will work fine contrary as to dig into the planet surface. I have made an artificial cave system monthes ago. If I now reload the save I expect most ot the tunnels to be gone, filled again by the planet surface.

I'm well aware of that, the plan was to build the base inside a tunnel and/or with connection to water.

Good luck, say hello to your Manipulator... :)

Any planet with an Activated metal on it. Also those with storm crystals. Outside of that you have to hunt around for the absolute worst...for example some extreme planets may only have 150 degree weather extremes while others may have 300+ degree weather extremes. You can't tell unless you land. The presence of activated metal only ensures frequent storms. But you can't tell how severe those storms are until you land and take temperatures and radiation or toxicity counts.

Literally any planet with an activated metal in the Calypso galaxy should meet this criteria

I have seen planets get Temps up to 600. So that would be a good start. Then I would look for aggressive sentinels and a planet that also has a few predators. That's about as dangerous as it is going to get.
You need to be well prepared for this planet. There are wicked hot sand storms that whip through this base. You'll need to find the power on switch to get inside before you are torn to shreds...

Some details from a previous post for you if you dare to visit.

If you want a terrific, relentless atmospheric alien 'Fire Storm' to experience (and maybe complete your Extreme Survival milestone) visit the Etarc Forums capital system ETARCIA ECSD in Euclid. The base on the small moon there was built during Hello Games' Atlas Rises phase and has just been 'repaired' (updated) using the new parts. There are a few things still to do, to tidy up the project but it'll provide shelter, a useful high value farm resource and maybe a Pan Galactic Gargleblaster if you feel parched. Take care if you are a VR player not to fall to your death. The view from the top overlooks a race track too to watch your friends complete a circuit through the stone needles. There are also some puzzles to overcome, to open all parts of the base underground...

Face, Sunset, Bird, Dice, Sunset, Sunset, Galaxy, Whale, Insect, Rocket, Bird, Tree, Coordinates +55.95,+126.96

Be careful of that fire storm it reaches 150+ degrees Celsius.

I need to find the planet and address again for the picture below.
The storms on tha planet were very frequent and will melt you if you step outside in any other mode than Creative. I think it was Euclid so I'll post the address when I get time to find it from my long list of discoveries.
This extreme planet was hot. REAL HOT over 300+ degrees Celsius!

IMO, the most hostile worlds I have discovered had the triple threat: fairly constant Extreme weather, insane sentinels, and angry abundant fauna.

I have run into a couple where three of the different species were all predators. You just can't catch a break in the action. You move away from the sentinels only to be picked up by two or three critter types...all while managing your suit protections. Unless you find a building, there is no safe spot to just take a moment and check things out.

It is kind of fun...for a little while. Just gets extremely frustrating over the long term so never thought to build a base.
