Waking Titan

Just curious, how many people here are following the whole "Waking Titan" puzzle/mystery.

Seems like a pretty cool thing so far, and really, if I'm completely honest, an ingenious move on HG's part if they really are behind it.

Just think about it: this game's whole public thing is a sh!tshow at this point. Loyal fans (like myself) are still here, playing the game, while others continue to bash it. By building up this new and mysterious "Waking Titan" thing, its building up some good and intersting publicity for the game, making more people want to check it out.

I just really want to know everyone's thoughts about this, because I haven't seen any discussions about it yet.

I did test using my citizen scientist number but the screen denied that -- goes red. YOu can wipe that input by clicking on the "X" at the right side of the input field, though.

I must say looking at the lore present from "whois" entry, the fourth race does not appear friendly. They may have ended the other races or killed some of them at least. They seem very insectiod in speech. Who all thinks we are going to find a new threat/enemy ? This becomes more and more clear each bit of lore we get. (The fourth race may drastically change things for us travelers.)

There sure are some heavy lore hints housed in the whois command wew.

Is anyone really sure emails are coming tonight? I checked email dates/times from Old Gods. The ARG (Sequence 1-4) ones cam on Saturday -- late mornign or early afternoon.) The the "Sequence Break" one came on a Friday, the video file messages came on a Sunday, the Citizen Scientist ones on a Sunday, then the last one on a Friday.

Well, Sean Murray did say that if the game did well enough for them to continue updating (their hope), that the initial focus would be exploration, but that it might change after that.

Someone mentioned that we're in a "First Contact" phase. Whether v1.3 changes the phase or prepares us for that later is yet to be seen.

Yep. Sorry, I should've used GMT. LOL. My email times would reflect USA Eastern Time Zone. The latest one I got on a Friday was at 8:58pm ET, which would be what ... 2:58am your time? My latest Saturday (here), email was at 1:15pm ET (+6 = 7:15pm your time?)

Well the hints so far are somewhat dark and quite ominous for sure. I see a scenario of escaping through a portal at the behest of Polo, to escape some mean mech insectoid speaking aliens. If we so choose, we may have a very chaotic path to take. It sure sounds like it won't be boring!
