Has anyone faced this cockpit bug, which appears like cracked windshield?
I've tried everything, from restarts to reloads, to even reinstalling the game. But it hasn't changed. I'm not sure what can be done, because this looks like a bug, which is now appearing on every type of starship in my game. I can see those lines on the bubble shaped(Starter ship cockpit) cockpit too.

I've raised this as a bug with Hello Games. But any advice would be appreciated. I haven't touched graphical settings, or any kind of mods/reshade etc.

EDIT: Uploaded screenshot to steam, linked it here.

EDIT-2: Will be deleting these screenshots by e.o.d. For anyone's reference, here is the image I uploaded to reddit: https://i.redd.it/39scodve5s151.jpg

EDIT-3: Removed steam images.

Looks normal to me. How long has it been since you played last?

I've been playing everyday, for at least an hour or two. I've uploaded more screenshots, of different cockpits. You can see that the starter ship like cockpit has those weird lines too.

I'd say those indicated the joins where two panes of glass (or the functional equivalent) were stuck together. Then again, I'm also a mouse potato who knows not of what I speak.

Case in point:

I confirmed it with few other players, who said that it is normal, or at least it appears for them too. I'm trying to reach to a larger audience, because this felt super weird and demotivating. Maybe I was just blind this whole time to not notice it. Any chance, when you play next, could you upload here few cockpit screenshots? Or any old cockpit screenshot would do too.

I understand the point you made, and which could be the reason behind it. Maybe it is my fault for not noticing it, but it was noticed all of a sudden.

There are 2 versions of canopy glass on Fighters.

One is totally smooth and the other is a segmented panel (not cracked).

You can also see the differences from the outside.

I guess this makes most sense, along with the joins you mentioned before. And yes, maybe the bland view was not the best probably. Marked it as right answer, and anyone seeing this, it is not a bug but an intentional design. And thank you. :)

Yup, I've both those cockpit types. Just those inner lines, it felt like a bug, but it isn't.
