Relaod your manual save and replay before it's too late. Good luck.
I'm happy to help, like I would like a ride to other galaxies I haven't seen yet.
Edit; I forgot to mention. I did the exact same thing, and thanks to Kvozart I got back to 10, which is what I lost.
As I said, you can still reload your manual save and replay it the correct way this time - assumed it got not overwritten meanwhile.
Before Bryond, you souldn't even go back to previous galaxies, if you moved forward it was forever. Now they have streamlined galaxy teleporting back and forth, but didn't say it INGAME.
So, get a ride to your lost galaxy (blue, cyan, red or green?), build a small base there and you are set. I'm willing to help you, but won't log back for 2-3 days.
When you reach a place you like, put down a base computer AND activate it, it's the only guaranteed way to go back there (stations will be pushed out from tele list if you visit enough, like 50ish).
So I think they should make it impossible for a player who just entered a new galaxy to use the anomaly teleporter or choose to join a friend before having "registered" in the new galaxy by building a base computer or having visited the space station.
Or they should make a big message showing up on your screen: Attention, you are about to leave XYZ galaxy. Did you build a base computer or visit the space station? Otherwise you won't be able to return to that galaxy.
I have no idea how this could be programmed, and maybe there's better ways to handle that, but I think this should be handled by HG.
After 80+ hours getting there, I want to see if I can do things "better" the 2nd time around. And this time, NOTHING will stop me from building a base before doing ANYTHING else in the new galaxy.
While it's true that this would help greatly, it's an ironic fact that HG makes everything possible for the players to discover things and procedures on their own instead of giving warnings or to point in a direction, especially with the numerous complaints about too many tutorial messages and alike. I feel that as long as the game doesn't get broken HG will hardly change such sort of things.
I have accidentally found this TRAP by experimenting to see how the new (new at that time) teleporter works, it has taken me a lot of time to exclude a bug (HG never responds or comments on gameplay matters at Zendesk, it would be good to have a pinned FAQ here, but no).
Have you noticed my post about the manual save? Try this one before restarting. Getting help from a fellow player will NOT bring you at the exact same place in that galaxy but could bring you *somewhere* in that galaxy anyway if you then use the Save Editor to revert the 'Interference' for teleporting and warping. If you want to go this route, tell me so, I will describe to you what you need to do in the Save Editor. It's a matter of minutes to change your savegame.
Next time you go into a new galaxy:
It's enough to put your feet in a space station and then take-off again, that's enough for creating an entry in the teleporter so you can return. Building a base is even better.
