Or try getting a freighter, which is easy as it's free (not 5bn worth of grind). Just help a freighter out in a battle and they will give you theirs.
Once you have the freighter, just go to it and your ship will be sitting there. You might have to exit and reenter the freighter.
Or try the summon option now you're in another ship, as bullwilly said.
If you can remember what planet you left it on, you could always search for it manually. You'll see a square on your radar display which show ships. One of those squares will be yours. If it doesn't move very much, it means it's far away, and is probably yours.
But if you left the system or exited the game the old ship is no longer present at the old location.
So unless you have a freighter your sort of stuck until you do.
