cant summon ship, launch thrusters empty, and dont know location
Hello,
I cannot summon my first ship and i have no idea where it is, i searched around for a long time but i cant find it.
All my important stuff is stored on that ship. i'm now searching it in my second ship.
is there any way to get my ship back? to make it my primary ship maybe so i can locatie it with its beacon? Can i maybe edit something like with that save editor? (have read about it but not used it yet)

Also i wonder, does summoning cost launch thruster feul? i dont remember the fuel of the ship being empty.. And right now i place bases everywhere around the planet to remember where what is.. but i cant name the bases.. does this game have a landmark list?

If you have a freighter, you can reload from autosave (aka the last time you exited your ship) and any and all non-primary ships will appear on said freighter. If you do not have a freighter, warp from system to system until you get a freighter rescue mission and take the free freighter reward.

thanks! i dont nearly have a freighter let alone a decent spaceship yet. i am still exploring on how to get around in the game, but thats something at least that i can have it back later in the game :)

Should be able to summon any ship you own, broken or working, fueled or empty, unless the terrain is wonky at the exact spot you are trying to summon it to.

Find a place with a landing pad and recall for no fuel there. But I think you've already got into another ship so it'll just recall your current ship. Give it a try. Obviously don't land on the landing as this will block the recall.

Or try getting a freighter, which is easy as it's free (not 5bn worth of grind). Just help a freighter out in a battle and they will give you theirs.

Once you have the freighter, just go to it and your ship will be sitting there. You might have to exit and reenter the freighter.

Or try the summon option now you're in another ship, as bullwilly said.

If you can remember what planet you left it on, you could always search for it manually. You'll see a square on your radar display which show ships. One of those squares will be yours. If it doesn't move very much, it means it's far away, and is probably yours.

Did you add your new ship to your collection or swap for it?

If you still have the old ship and have not warped out or reloaded the game it should display as a dot on your ship radar. Just fly toward it and you should be able to find it.
But if you left the system or exited the game the old ship is no longer present at the old location.

So unless you have a freighter your sort of stuck until you do.

I had this same problem just today. I claimed a scrap ship and repaired the thrusters and flew it to the space station, then went to summon my other ship and realized it was out of launch fuel. I went back to the planet and was flying around for an hour and couldnt find it, so I went back to the space station and sold the scrap ship, then my ship spawned in the space station. I'm still trying to figure this game out too...
