You Can Shove Your Void Egg... Damn Starbirth Mission...
I was really loving this game, and looking for to the whole living ship quest, until now.... After waiting a whole day for the neural stem to mature it was time for the next contact...

Ok, I make contact again and get coordinates to go to this system... The egg wan t a dusty planet with extreme storms. Only one dusty planet so I figured that had to be it, and it was.... except the "dusty" planet in covered in WATER, with small dots of land scattered about.

THEN, as I am following the co-ords they start changing... REALLY..? Unstable co-ords the warning says...

I keep following and of course the most likely spot to start searching is in the middle of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ocean, and I am damned if I am gonna go wandering around the ocean floor "hoping" I may stumble over what I am looking for,.,... SCREW that for a joke...

As I said, I have been loving this game, it's amazing, but THIS,,, has left a VERY sous taste, especially because I was really looking forward to this quest.....

Go through a black hole, reset the quest, try again. Just back up your save beforehand in case it goes poorly...

Worth a try I guess, thanks, but still, this is just stupid... Why make it this annoying....are they trying to turn people away from the game..?

No, it's random. Nobody did anything to you, it was a roll of the dice.

Then they need better dice... Anyway, your suggestion worked, thankyou very much..

Random is random. Just because it goes poorly for you doesn't mean they're bad dice.

To the pedantic readers: yes, it's pseudorandom, but it's close enough.

Maybe so, but that is twice now that I have been forced to use a black hole in order to complete a task...and it is getting rather annoying.

twice is a coincidence - three times would be a pattern. ;)

Pseudorandomness sux. XD

All I read is horror stories about the living ship - and it doesn't even look as cool as my drag racer. I might just pass. XP

It's impossible for a deterministic machine to be random. Pseudorandomness is the best we can do.
