im so lost
But in a good way.

I have never felt like this playing a video game before. Usually when im too lost i lose interest and move on (yeah ive got add badly)

But everything in this game is interesting, im lost but i feel like i have a purpose.

My current purpose is finding my base that i lost. I made a base on a mountain.... then i went to look for a space station, got lost and didnt find anything... made it back to the plent and have been flying and running around for 4 hours and i still cant find it lol i assumed it would still be marked on the planet but i just cant locate

It appears on the top of your screen as a marker.
If you don’t know what you are looking for go back out to space and turn and face the planet. You will see an icon on the planet, point at it and it will tell you it is your base. You can then mark it and fly towards it

Were you playing multi player when you built the base? Sometimes stuff gets saved on another plays account in multi player.

ok so when you're too far away from an icon it'll show higher up in the sky, large glowing white light leading to the icon, Icon is like a dome with a flat foundation under it, it'll usually show in black. also if you still cant find it, if your ship is fixed and you can lift off, take flight withing the planet, and you should try to swivel and look for the Icon. if its got an item that creates a save like an extractor, or the 2 save point items, it'll show a star over it instead.

If you fly into orbit you cannot miss the base icon and simply fly there. With some exocrafts you are faster exploring your base surroundings, others are slow compared to going on foot.

That's what I was thinking. Even if you don't have the teleport built the game should transport you to the Base Computer or close to I think. The base should be labelled in the Space Station.

One thought maybe you saved the game on another save date and time (You can have two saves on each game mode auto and manual) before the base was built and mistakenly loaded the save position that did not yet have the base built or uploaded to the server. If you chose to loaded a save before the base was built and subsequently also have auto-saved you may have saved over the base you built....(which can happen if you play for a long while without saving and forget) Maybe you have saved the game folder as back up you might have a save with the base built?
