HOW TO REMOVE SOLAR PANELS/BATTERIES

I am at my wit's end with this! I've been looking for an HOUR all over the internet for how to remove solar panels/batteries that you have placed but want to move to a new position/location. The input for removing a base component is also the input for installing wiring, and latter overrides the former. How do I remove a solar panel or battery that I have installed to my base?!!

Well, from a PC perspective, you hit l-ctrl, and it brings up a new menu with you can scroll through, to get to the big "X" which is used to remove construction stuff.

While you're in that area with the wiring, use "q" or "e" to move the selection to the red X.

This might be a necro but I need to know.
Does the big "X" refund the resources used to build the thing or is everything lost?

Yeah. At least on PC, if you hold the left-ctrl key while building, it will delete whatever you are aimed at, and it will refund its construction cost. In my experience ALL of the construction costs are refunded (unlike the deconstruction of technology upgrades).
