you have lost connection to online discovery services
There is a message on my discoveries screen that says "you have lost connection to online discovery services".
Is something down, or do I have to do something on my end?

I think it happens when you go AFK and come back don't quote me on that tho.

The server has been intermittent over the past few days. Many have not been able to do the weekend event as that also relies on the discovery server. At least the peer to peer multiplayer matchmaking server is still running... for now.

Oh thank goodness, I thought it was just me. I'm also unable to connect, which is incredibly frustrating as I'm still working on the quicksilver to get my living ship egg :(

Sigh. I'm not sure why they relied on a service they knew was flaky to add content (that requires so many days to gain) to the game when they could have caused dailies to run off whatever timer they use for freighters if the service was unable to connect. I have over a thousand hours of play in NMS and I'm about ready to ragequit over this.

This has been an on and off problem since launch as I recall but I have huge gaps in my playtime so maybe it worked for a long time while I was gone.

Been having this issue for a couple weeks now. Not even on and off, it's ALWAYS off. Everything else works fine, only the online discovery services (and thus the weekend event) are off. I haven't found any solutions to this, or even an official statement about the issue so.... I'm really bothered by this. :P

Second week in a row that service went down Saturday Afternoon. Hopefully it comes back up soon. Already gathered the community event items.

Same issue here. Haven't been able to do the community event or the daily quicksilver missions. Really frustrating as I have limited time to play given I have a young kid. So I'm really limited to playing in the evenings when it's usually busy and down.

I wouldn't mind so much but it pretty much locks us me out of the quicksilver market since there's literally no other way to get it.

It's been going on for a few weeks now. I'm guessing more people are playing because everyone's home and the servers are just slammed? There were similar issues at launch I think. But like, an update on what's going on would be appreciated...
