After loading the game where can we see which version we got ?
I just buy the game, I don't see anywhere which version it is. The latest patch note on the screen seems to indicate it is Beyond only (2.0). Nothing about patch 2.1, 2.3 and 2.4.

You have the latest version. The patch notes only seem to mention the last big update.

Thanks, but they should put the version somewhere on the screen like almost all other games do.

In the initial game mode screen for SP / MP the version nr. is written in the lower right.

Yes, I see 58900 which doesn't really tell me if it is patch 2.41.

If you want something concrete you need to right-click the game title, select Properties and take a peek under the Local Files tab for a build number:

https://steamdb.info/app/275850/depots/?branch=public

The number in the corner of the main menu is... something else.

Thanks, my build number is 4874155 which is the last build number from the link you give. But I don't know why, not just put 2.41 on the initial screen of the game as almost all other games do.

(Edit: Unwanted Bandit said some of this already while I was typing. Sorry to repeat!)

I was just talking about this the other day and it's actually really complicated. There are 5+ official build numbers: the internal build ID (the bottom right of the main menu); the assigned build number (the 2.4.1 you are talking about); and the Steam, XBox, and PS4 build numbers. I'm sure there are others that we never see.

The 2.4 version number you're talking about is assigned when or shortly after they push a release to public. This week there were two updates but only one got a number, and you didn't know that until after release. The current experimental will probably be 2.4.2, but we don't know. The most reliable thing is the depot ID. The current public release is 4874155, while the HG internal and experimental builds are 4884363. You can check those here:
https://steamdb.info/app/275850/depots/

To check your personal Steam depot build number, go to your Steam library, right click on the game name, go to Properties, then Local Files. Your installed build number is at the bottom of that tab.
