mined out a copper patch - still marked on scanner
hi all, new to the game. went and mined out a copper deposit, but the indicator is still there. i was pretty though, make a sizable hole, don't think i left any trace behind, but the indicator is still there. why is that? is it still useful even though there is no obvious copper? does it come back? what is the deal here?

Just target your exo/ship and mark it you make the node marker go away. happens from time to time to all of us.

what do you mean "target my ship"?

Ranger is talking about the marking system while you look through the visor. If you mark another symbol, the copper should disappear.

Though, they won't disappear after you mined a copper field and such, because they get refilled after some days. Bad programming, I guess, we have to live with it.

Even if it looks like you got it all, if you scan it, you'll note some cubes floating around. There's always a trace, at least in my experience.

In that case, you can fill the hole with dirt and remove it again. This should work. Though it doesn't remove the symbol for a copper patch.
