HOWTO: build a Stasis Device (15.6 mil units worth)
this is the first time I write something like a game guide, so I post it as a thread not as a guide right away...
tell me if you find it useful...

=============================================
HOWTO

Building a Stasis Device

This howto refers to the Blueprints for Nitrogen Salt, Enriched Carbon and Thermic Condensate, as well as those for Aronium, Magno-Gold and Grantine.
You can also create those in a Large Refiner with slightly different ressource requirements and without Blueprints.
However, you need the Blueprints for the Advanced Products and they are dependant from the lower products' Blueprints.

Ingredients you'll need

400 Gamma Root
200 Solanium
200 Star Bulb
100 Frost Crystal
100 Cactus Flesh

50 Faecium

500 Rhadon
500 Nitrogen
500 Sulphurine

50 Paraffinium
50 Phosphorus
50 Dioxite

600 Carbon ( 300 Condensed Carbon )
300 Cobalt ( 150 Ionized Cobalt )

200 Silicate Powder ( alternatively 200 Frost Crystal )

> 15 Inventory Slots

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2093835197

---------------------------------

Collect 600 Carbon, process it to 300 Condensed Carbon.
- (alternatively, harvest 2 Carbon Crystal from Floating Crystal or Curious Deposit and melt it )

Collect 300 Cobalt, process it to 150 Ionized Cobalt.
- (alternatively, harvest 1 Tetracobalt from Floating Crystal, Curious Deposit or Subterranian Relic and crack it )

Collect or buy the other ingredients.

--------------------

Create

2 Nitrogen Salt
2 Enriched Carbon
2 Thermic Condensate

1 Semiconductor

1 Superconductor

1 Hot Ice

1 Cryo Pump

5 Glass
1 Lubricant

1 Living Glass

1 Cryogenic Chamber

1 Heat Capacitor
1 Poly Fibre

1 Circuit Board

1 Quantum Processor

1 Aronium
1 Magno-Gold
1 Grantine

1 Iridesite

1 Stasis Device

If you want honest feedback, let me ask you a simple question: Why are you writing this? To help new NMS players? If so, what is their need? Figuring that out might help you write a better guide.

You might make it a sentence, something like, have a look at this: https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/nomanssky_gamepedia/c/cb/Product_Crafting_Tree.png?version=d535a04e65a8697f68a939b8f9eaac95

Btw, this is probably the 50th guide I've seen on Stasis Devices or Activated Indium farms. I wonder if people buy NMS to be a device manufacturer or mineral farmer.

I find it more fun to do the type of the things that the OP suggests, instead of cobalt flipping or the like.

Why do you think your idea of fun is something more important?

@Liralen - Why do I think it's fun? I don't think grinding out on chlorine, stasis, indium, silver, gold, etc is fun.I think this millionaire-wanna-be stuff is boring and pointless.

What is so fun about making game currency?

why I wrote this?
for myself. because it's confusing to look only at the recipes only, and I was wondering how many ressources this costs. so I first made a table where I broke down the recipes into sub-recipes. then I made a list what I needed, then I set up the list in wich order I can create the items.

then I saw it just needed a little paragraph more, then I could post it and ask others what they think.
what they think about the usability and simplicity, not about the fact that it would be the hundred-and-first guide posted to this topic, I was brightly aware of this.

help for new players?
I would say, find your own game and don't look up too much help or you'll spoil your game.

for me, it's more fun to build some devices when I need more units for one or the other task, instead of multiplying chloride for an afternoon.
...or selling the same cobalt over and over. I don't like speculating and I don't want to play my game that way.

and it's even more fun to break down a recipe myself instead of looking up the work of other people, like the graph you posted. yes it's quite nice. I would have had fun creating it myself.

I agree with you - and there we come EXACTLY to my point.
it's fun to clue out a way to build something out of blueprints that are just sitting unconnected aside each other.
and it's fun to have more than one way to get some game currency when you e.g. see a hauler you want to buy, just for fun.

@Kaeru Gaman - Thank you for answering. Writing for yourself and you're publishing a guide for yourself? But that could be why it may not work. One normally writes for the "audience" (so to speak). But hey, don't let me stop you. Go ahead and publish for yourself.

Again, why do you think your idea of fun is more important?

@Liralen - Again, you just wrote stuff up.

Where EXACTLY did I say my opinion is more valid (i.e. what is considered fun) than that of OP's?

Do you like semantics? Is this the fun part, lol?

The fact that you felt it important to criticize the OP. Why?

LOL, I thought it was feedback. You saw a scolding, lol.

Good luck with life. :-)

right in the second line you implemented this work of mine was crap.
not only that, you implemented I should have known on my own and how do I dare to ask.
you didn't have the guts to say "I think this is bad", you just told me "how to write a better one"

in your second posting you told me why it does not work.
again you didn't have the guts to say "I think this does not work", you simply write "this is why this may not work". you state it is not working.

your complete so called "feedback" is offending and biased against all guides or hints concerning "making some units", for what reason ever.

if you think this is feedback, have you studied at the university of vulgaria?

well, it may be my own fault, to ask in the internet for someones opinion will attract the a$holes like a pile of manure attract flies.

I think we can all agree that Cannenses is being an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and should just go play by himself for a while.

Scrapping ships yields half the components you need for a stasis device: living glass, circuit boards, superconductors, iridesite. After scrapping a couple ships you have these things without having to make them. Combine the circuit board with superconductor to get the quantum processor. Make some hot ice, thermic condensate and make cryopumps and mix with living glass to get the cryogenic chamber. Mix quantum processor + cryogenic chamber + iridesite and you get a stasis device. Make millions while scrapping ships. Just bring Nitrogen, Radon, and Sulphurine with you to the station. Scrapping ships gives you the remaining stuff. Easiest way to make stasis devices.
Kaeru Gaman May 12, 2020 @ 12:14pm
that's right. it's better to spare the high value parts from ship scrapping than sell them right away.
anyhow, it will take a bunch of ships to scrap to get all parts you need.
also, I was looking for a way to make more valuable goods out of those simple ressources I collected a lot of quite simple almost on just passing by.
