Can you farm more quicksilver by moving PC clock forward?
Instead of waiting for 24 hours for a new daily, what happens if you were to forward your clock on Windows by 24 hours instead? Does that work?

You could try, but the clocks might mess up your access to bases and other stuff (Like doors not opening) until the game timings catch up to your 'present'. You could try mods if you want to cheat but back up your game files first. Mods could potentially also ruin your game. They could also ruin your reputation...

If you want more QS just download the save editor and give yourself whatever you want to.

I'd recommend just playing the game and getting QS the normal way. If you start editing saves and stuff, you might ruin everything for yourself.

Using the save editor is safe and there is no way he could ruin anything for himself.

You missed the point.

No I did not "miss the point". I think everyone should play the game how they want to. If someone want to be a purist then that is fine, but so is using the save editor if someone wants to do that.

And you missed it again.

I'm not saying it's wrong to do it or that people shouldn't do it - it's their game not mine, but I am disagreeing with your initial point "there is no way he could ruin anything for himself" there are plenty of ways in which this might spoil the game.

Xenomorph's comment was spot on - "I'd recommend just playing the game and getting QS the normal way. If you start editing saves and stuff, you might ruin everything for yourself."

He didn't say don't do it.

Please do tell me, they ways he might spoil the game for himself. I am very curious because I do not think I "missed the point", and that your point is that if you do use the save editor the game is somehow less because you are not playing a "pure" game.
the OP want QS very fast - using SE can do this faster than the OP thought - let him go this way
who cares?!
´doesn't matter if some1 missed a point or not

The words 'ruin' and 'spoil' have slightly different connotations. You're talking about personal fulfilment while everyone else is worried the other player is about to brick their own save file.

In this tutorial he describes how you can enable daily quests for offline saves. The same way you can enable daily quests after you already finished all daily quests.

Why have the game at all if you cheat through it and skip the part that players participate in to complete it faster. There is no score and there are no levels so who you trying to beat? What's the rush in a game with no foreseeable ending?
you're right. There's no goal, no score, noone he could beat. So why is it a problem if he does that, or even if he cheats himself everything. If he's happy with that, he won't hurt anyone. It doesn't mean that everyone else have to do that.

You are wasting your time. Cheaters are impervious to reason or logic.

People prefer different things. He's not ruining anyone else's gameplay in any way. His decisions don't affect yours (at least in this game). If this were a PvP game or something, I'd be right there with you telling him to GTFO, but it's not, so let him do his thing.
