Save Editor Help
I know using this you can change how you ship looks and add items and everything, but im having trouble re-adding some stuff I lost, when I add upgrades to certain parts of my ship, their bonuses are random. Is there anyway you can use the editor to get specific upgrade bonus?

as far as i know you cant assign a value you want and have the editor figure out the seed for you. but if you do know the seed that would output the numbers/skin you want then you can use that.

What? Im fine with "skins" everything looks like how I want, im trying to figure out how I would add an upgrade with x y and z stats, instead of adding an upgrade and it has random stats once I load the save file

yeah i know you werent talking about ship skins, but upgrade modules work in a similar manner. meaning that they are all randomly generated from a seed that you cant really reverse engineer easily.

when you are editing an upgrade module in the editor theres a box for the seed for it too. copy the ID number of the module effect you want from that doc into the seed/id field of a copy of that module in your inventory

there is another doc with multitool and ship powerups? there is exosuit only

I'm not sure I understand the OP's question. In the Save Editor, you can add upgrades to your ships, suit and exotool. You can add any type of upgrade that's available in the game. So, for example, you can add a Shield and then add an S-Class shield upgrade right next to it. By doing so, you can add every upgrade their is, at the highest bonus level available.

You can't modify how the ship looks, with the exception of changing the ship seed. You have to find the seed number for a ship you like, and then input that into the Save Editor. That will swap out your current ship model for the one in the seed. But you can't change wings, or colors or anything specifically. It's just seed-swapping.

You can finagle the seeds (as shown above) but folks have warned that it's risky and even then, it's not a full customization. But that wasn't what the OP's question was about.
