How to remove communications station?
I have read all the other threads, but now i have a problem. I built a communications station with a stupid message and it's so annoying. then another appeared above it floating. and then the original one just disappeared. so im left with just the floating one. i have tried building another one and then saving and restarting the game but it just deletes the one i just recently placed and the floating one is still there. i even built 20 of them and saved and restarted and all 20 got deleted but the stupid floating one is still there. anyone have any answers??????

Heard about this getting buggy. Are you creating the new one in the same area or moving far away or even to another planet in the same system? That worked for me, at least in the past.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

if i do this, does this now make my vanilla game void of any achievements i make? if not then great! but if it does make any further achievements void i don't really want to do that. and then can i remove the mod afterwards without any damage to my game?
Thanks :)

It doesn't affect achievements at all.

You need to pick it up using the middle mouse button, like you would a portable refiner. That will put it in your inventory, where you can delete it.

The recent update could have borked Gumsk's mod.

I just recompiled it, but the update didn't really affect it. Do you have any other mods installed that could be interfering? I'll test tonight or tomorrow to be sure.

I think I found the problem, but my gaming is bugging out. If I get in a ship, it blows up and a die. Good times. Anyway, I'm going to test the fix, though I'm worried I might end up with a permanent comm station after this :P

I was able to force it a little, but it also kept wanting to crash my game and other times blocked me from deleting still. It looks like I can't enable it anymore and the only way to get rid of it is to use the trick of placing two more, not setting the messages, not saving, then restarting the game. That should get rid of the first one. If you enter a message, though, it will save your game, so don't enter anything!

no, still doesn't work :(
After attempting a delete, I just build a second one. You can only have one communication module per a planet. After a game restart the other one disappeared. What is bugged is that we do not seem to be able to colour them anymore to a sympathetic planet tone.

Try to just keep dropping comms stations right next to the others until it blocks you, again, without setting any messages, then save and reload.

I'm actually disabling the comms station completely in the next version. The messaging module can do everything, with tweaks, without all this BS. The only posts I've ever seen about comms stations are that they are used for griefing and people can't get rid of them.
