Anyone Having A Problem Respawning Whispering Eggs?
So, I've built a few egg farms (small bases with wooden corrals around the egg nests) to repeatedly harvest Larval Cores. However, over the last week, I've noticed that my Whispering Eggs have not been respawning. Everything ELSE in the bases comes back (supply crates, wall terminals, even the infected access computer resets and keeps giving me stuff), but the eggs are completely absent.

Well . . . not COMPLETELY. I had one base I hadn't visited in a while respawn all the eggs, and I had one base respawn HALF of them, which was kinda really weird. So I'm wondering . . . are Whispering Eggs part of the "Terrain Edits" function of the game, where they only reset if you make enough terrain edits elsewhere in the galaxy, and edits at a base are "protected" so they won't reset unless you make too many edits at another base? That doesn't make sense to me, honestly, but . . . possible?

I've tried all the conventional methods of forcing the eggs to respawn (flying into space, saving, traveling to numerous planets, etc), is there something I'm missing? Alternately, did they add a quiet patch recently to prevent egg farming?

I wonder the usefulness of this, since the Hub always has missions to kill monstrosities, which will also net you credits or nanites. I may be wrong, but that forces the eggs to respawn, so you can do it until you're sick of it. If they don't respawn, just go to another system, rinse/repeat.

I don't think the eggs are forced to respawn. I recall going on a mission to kill monstrosities, taking all the eggs and then going on another mission soon after. I was sent back to the same place and no eggs. Also there were still holes in the ground where I took salvage tech.

I recently found an airless moon that has whispering eggs scattered about the surface. I can drive around in my exo-craft and due to the low gravity, jumping hills and looking around while in the air makes them easy to spot. I'm stopping for an egg about every 15 seconds. Doesn't take long to fill my inventory. Way better than a base farm.

The usefulness of egg farming is that once you have a base, it takes WAY less time to harvest Larval Cores than just finding them in the wild or on missions.

When you just find an abandoned base and harvest the eggs, you can only do one at a time, because the monstrosities will slaughter you if you stay out there, and even if they don't, they knock you all over the place, so you can't stand there and get the eggs. So it takes forever, you get one egg, you hide 'til the swarm subsides, you get another egg, wait some more, it can take 20 minutes or more, depending on how many eggs there are.

When you farm, you find the abandoned building and set up a base there. Then you build corrals around the eggs, so the monstrosities can't attack you while you mine them and pick up the cores. You get all of them from one corral, jetpack to the next one, and you got all the eggs in less than five minutes. And since the eggs respawn every few days (and there are supposed to be ways of forcing them to respawn), you can do it over and over.

Like I said, my problem is that it's been over a week for some of these egg sites, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows why.
