Exocraft mining laser efficiency
For some reason exocraft mining laser yields much less resources than the multitool per deposit. For instance, when mining large pure ferrite deposit:

With multitool mining laser: ~50 units
With exocraft mining laser: 20-30 units

Looks like you get about the same amount of resources with either laser when a deposit is destroyed, but the multitool mines extra bits of resources while the laser is active. Which doesn't happen while mining with exocraft.

In result, the exocraft destroys the deposits a bit faster, but the resulting yield is about the same (if not less, depending on the upgrades).

Is that a bug?

Keep in mind that deposits vary in size.

Also, you can change the size of the mining with the multitool (using the mouse wheel), but it always mines the same amount per "chunk". So if you want more minerals per deposit, use the multitool and keep its mining size small. I think the only use for the larger mining sphere is when you want to dig out an area.

I know, but I'm strip mining the deposits for base building atm, so the statistics is on my side. Exocraft yield per deposit is always 1/2 to 2/3 of multitool results

Sorry for confusion, I'm comparing mining lasers to drill rocks/trees, not the terrain manipulator
