Don't bother with underground base
Spent longer than I'd care to admit building a great base in the side of a cliff. Left for a bit, came home and it had been filled in. Dug it out. Gone again. The world erases you- very meta and in line with the theme of the game, but a real bummer for anyone looking to get a bit creative.

im sure this is not meant to happen. so the devs will fix there ♥♥♥♥ eventually.

even tho they are swiming in bugs. they would rather stop players from making money fast than fix bugs like this. pfff

bad reveiw in-coming if they dont start fixing the bugs now. so players like you can actually enjoy the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game

making money fast made up for the bugs everywhere garbage

Planet surfaces seem bugged in general. There was a copper deposit in a planet that regenerated as quickly as I could mine it.

Yeah, like fixing the freakin' Base Computer Archives quest so I can get the blueprints to build more than just four walls and roof. (And before anyone suggests it, no, moving my freighter didn't fix it, nor did building another base.)

Maybe this has something to do to why my save is effectively screwed... I am likely inside of a mountain right now. I built and underground base and when I closed my game, I was underground. Now, every time I continue my game, it goes through the loading process and right when it would normally let me play, the game closes with no error messages.

I tested this myself. I have a base with an underground tunnel so i can get to it while avoiding the extreme weather. I left the system and went to another star. I was there for like 30 minutes. Warped back to my base and the terraforming i did was still there.

Edit: Did you upload your base after you were done? I assume you did, just making sure.

I'm sure it's highly situational and probably difficult to reproduce, which would make it difficult to fix. I built a tunnel system near my home base that cuts through a mountain and gives me quicker access to some resources on the other side. That tunnel has remained there without issue for over 10 hours and multiple trips to and from the planet. I never uploaded it either.

That's "fixed" on the current test build.

Make sure to use a save point and then upload your base, the Terrian manipulation i have done through building or with the tool has always stayed.

The bigger issue for me is when i walk away from the base some distance and then return, all my doors are missing. Using a save point and then reloading fixes that for me though....but odd bug haha

Is this "test build" different from the experimental build? If not, then I beg to differ since I'm on experimental branch. :steamsad:

I see that you're using the panels. . . . I had to go to structures since I had issues with animals walking through walls. . . do you have that issue at all?

Did you leave the system? usually stuff like that doesn't regen till your out of the system for a while.

Many, many times.

What finally fixed it (just a few minutes ago) was, sadly, deleting my base altogether and then reclaiming it (well, the spot). It was basically just a huge, two story, empty wooden box with a teleporter and a large storage container and some lights, so not much of a loss, but I hate redoing things; and now I have to rebuild it from scratch again.

I have same issue, what I did was I summon my Freighter somewhere else and go back to my base, I delete my current base and place my computer again and it popup at the right location.

[This one I haven't try it since I lost my save]
If you have put so much time in your base and don't want to delete it, try put another computer at another planet, since we can have up to 3 bases at a time.

I did not check today, but made some tunnels looking for my old base a week ago and they were still there this weekend when I checked. According to the update, supposedly they fill in if you do not add walls.

I am on experimental, so that could be part of the difference.

No, it's "fixed" on experimental. I put it in quotes because they fixed it by preventing it from happening again, but maybe not for people already stuck. You can no longer build base computers on freighters on experimental, so people wont try to do early game tutorial steps on their later game freighters. Honestly the devs should have forced everyone to restart with the update, most of the current bugs are because they tried to allow old saves to update and created a bunch of situations they didn't expect.

Yes, I've explored like half a dozen systems. Tunnels are still there.
