Can't install new scanner module.

Just picked up a module to greatly increase the credits I earn from scanning new lifeforms, and I have plenty of room to install it, but it isn't allowing me. I've tried installing it into a free tech slot in both my suit and multi tool, and each time it tells me "cannot place item in technology slot".

Am I just trying to place my scanner module upgrade in the wrong places, or is it bugged? My multi-tool already has 3 upgrades and plenty of tech slots open, if that's helpful.

Edit: I'm just really stupid. Was pressing the wrong button.

Same problem here ....bought the scanner upgrade module S and as soon as i try to move it from my exosuit inventory to my multitool the multitool section is greyed out so i cant install it. And i pressed all the right buttons .

You have to press e from the starte and then take it to the multi tool section, not click on it and then click e :)
