I've also heard some star systems don't have any space stations.
I guess HG could somehow add this to the storyline, like calling them "forbidden worlds" which would be avoided by the sentinels for some reason or sth.
They exist you just need to explore more. I have found many planets where they barely exist. Sentials are the universe police you are going to find them everywhere but some planets they are nearly not there. Exploring is key in this game. Not hitting 10 planets and declaring what you think to be true.
I've just hit my 20th system and explore every planet in each system. Closest I've got to no Sentinels is a dead planet with no life or atmosphere, but still had a bunch of them scanning rocks and getting angry.
Saying "keep exploring" is all very well, but if I haven't found an adventure-filled unexplored planet which I really want from the game after 20 hours, then the point stands.
Also "barely" isn't the same as "none" - If I'm still going to trip over half a dozen sentinels instead of thirty on my way up a mountain, is still the same issue.
