i dont know what they are but f@$K! here i am stumbling on an abandon building with a bunch of vortex cubes that i found and i see these egg looking things. DO NOT DESTROY THEM! unless your ready for a bunch of (badass looking) monsters to spring up and attack you. they will keep spawning more until you run away or get the core whick is worth a pretty penny. they arnt hard to kill but they just keep spawning! and if your like me playing on survival theres no grave marker to go back and recover all those cubes ;(

yeah i was really exicted and saw that there were literally dozens of them.... so i made the greatest rookie mistake of all. i got greedy and died painfully cause i think each egg has its own spwan points for them... there was like 12 coming up at a time

Got a mission to clear an infestation. Fortunately, had heard they are bad business but still scared the crap out of me.

Survived, but did not know they keep respawning. Glad I decided to retreat when the mission was satisfied.

i noticed righ as it killed me it said swarm subsiding so yeah i think retreat would be the best option to deal with them... but since the update all my tech is obsolete. im not running very far very fast lol

The swarm cannot climb the walls of the buildings they are next to.

Those whispering eggs? Thoese are pure money (475k a stack of 5 of them) and if you are on a building, just jump on the roof and wait. Steal the next egg and wait for your next chance.
You can fasten it by taking a risk, and shoot an egg jump down and collect it, and jump back. Easy money

just dig a hole and get below the egg,then dig upwards and shot the egg,and the egg wil fall to you
and the monster can't hit you underground lol

If the eggs are in a cluster just stand in the middle and you won’t be attacked.

from what i can tell if your playing on normal than dig under the eggs and you grab them all in one go. however there is a chance that one of the creatures can get in your grave. cause if you cant get out in time than it is. but you can go back. if your playing on survival than i would grab one at a time while jumping on the building and storing the core in your ship each time. cause it seams like the target on the core to trigger the pick up command is smaller than normal making it really hard to fast grab them. and you can only take a couple hit till your dead. and if your playing on permadeath than your just crazy ass f@&k and deserve what ever you get lol. also ive noticed a bug where every few cores just drop off the map, so dont bother looking for it.

all you do is destroy one egg, slowly so you dont destroy the lava egg thing, then quickly pick it up before it despawns, then to avoid the swarm run into the building and wait till they disperse on their own, then go back out and get another egg, 95k a time, thank you very much :)

These "pitch black" monsters are kinda easy to kill and the eggs give you nice amount of units.
Also there is a glitch how you can farm the eggs without even fighting.
