How to remove Communications Station

Title. Seriously. I built one, added a message, and now I can't pick it up or delete it. Is this a bug, or are they permanent. Is there any way to remove this?

They seem to be permanent, and the information about them isn't in your save file but somewhere out on a game server. So you're stuck with it, or at least you were in the Atlas Rises version of the game. I don't know if anything's changed with the NEXT update.

If you open your build menu, you can hold ctrl and there should be an option to delete something. Then, with ctrl held, just click the Communitions station.

Doesn't work. Error message similar to trying to delete a base computer.

With the basecomputer you have to chose to delete the base through interacting with it. Not sure if you can with the Communication Station. Though I only build one at some point but seems it didn't do what I wanted it to do, but that was just a save I was testing stuff out so deleted it afterwards. So could be someone else will find it at some point ;)

there can only be one of those Communication Stations per Planet per Player... if you want to "delete" the stupid Message just build a new one and write a less weird Message into it.

i think you will have to save and reload for that to take effect.

that doesn't work. i built a new one and the old one didn't delete. if you haven't set a message you can delete it but if you set a message it seems you cant delete it.

You should be able to remove the comm station by finding it in your savegame file. (you'll need a save game editor and at least a passing knowledge of JSON)

Mine got removed, I made 3 stations in total on the planet and worte a message, saved by going in and out of my ship then completely shutting the game down and restarting it

Had same Problem today. Mine was also duplicating and stacking on top on the "real" one.

1. I buid a new one further away didnt type a message in
2. Got in and out of my ship to safe and completely restarted the game
3. Only the second floating CS was still there
4. then I built a Message Module and got in and out of my ship and restarted again
5. The floating one was gone and I could delete the MM normally with ctrl

Thats what work for me...

The work around is to build a new communiction station. Then save, quit and restart the game and the first com station will be gone. I was scratching my head over this for hours one night!
