[Quest issue] Alone Amidst the stars

Anyone know how to bypass or reset the quest? it asks you triangulate using signal boosters from 3 different planets. I succesfully did that on the first planet but i wasn't paying attention and picked up the signal booster.

now i can't find the spot on the first planet nor does it give me the option to triangulate on the 2nd planet + too far in the game to reload autosave....

I used the same signal booster for all 3 location, but I had difficulty to do the third one due to a bug (I need to dig below the indicated location, as told in another thread). You can see in your journal (P) where you need to go after.

Usually you need to get out of range of the mission before the option to reset it pops up in the mission log. I know when I see the mission reset option it starts by saying I am out of range of the mission, and to reset to respawn the mission in my current area.

the 2nd marker is in an abandoned building. i've placed the booster inside and outside but no luck.

I was stuck on this as well... I followed the advice and dug under the building it was leading me to and was able to use my signal booster from under the building. Thanks :)

Ah i see. i'll give it a try tonight. Did you also do what i did and pick up the first signal booster? :D
