How to dig up Buried Technology Module?

I'm in the quest to look for buried tech modules and I followed one underground but I'm literally on top of it but I can't dig any deepr now because of some bedrock I can't dig through using the terrain manipulator. How do I get to it?

use terrain manipulator

Find one that isn't bugged. Usually they are only a few meters deep, you can blast a small hole and loot them while still standing on the surface.

Yup you have to have the terrain manipulator installed on your multi tool, then just dig till you reach the tech ( its near surface )

I've had the same thing happen, I think in this case you're just outta luck and have to chalk it up to procedurally generated shinanigans, ditch it and find another.
Edit- I love all the people saying "Just dig!" you can't dig through bedrock people, OP already said he has the terrain manipulator

Yeah it must be the RNG screwing with the placement. I finally found a new one it was a lot closer to the surface.
