Beacons?

Hello, I want to place a marker in some locations, like exosuits upgrade pods that I dont have the materials for yet, how can I do this? I used to place beacons but now I dont have the option to build those. I tried a save pod but that doesnt get marked.

Huh? Like I said I dont even have the option to build a beacon. I have save points, refiners etc, but no beacons.

you have to do the base quest that gives you the beacon recipe.

if it's an old save that you used to have it on but don't now then your must be bugged. my old save still has it as a recipe. I should add that i have NOT tried to build it yet though.

EDIT: just jumped in and verified that the recipe is still there and craftable

just plant a base computer down, no need to build the base jsut use it as a marker and telliport.

Its a new save, the only base quest I got was to build a wall and a blueprint machine, dont have anymore quests for bases? Thanks for the info.

same here I can't create the beacons as well

I believe you must progress the story/base missions until you've recruited your Overseer and Scientist before receiving the blueprint. The Scientist is the one who gives you a quest to build one.

I don't know how far in the game you need to be for that, though. I'm on an old save.

Newb here, so haven't played (lots exploring and taking time w/ main story (about 80-90 hrs)) but I am doing Artemis line have gotten Beacon recipe not long ago. Sry late answering but just found this discussion and hope it helps someone.
