Fuel for lift off
is it normal that my ship dont use fuel if i lift off and land at another palce and lift off again (launchthrusters)? Is it so that u just have to "pay" 1 fuel/ for 1 lift off at one palnet and u can contuine itwhole time without loosing anothe rload until u maybe go to next planet or next spacestation?

The ship does not use fuel to take off it you land on a landig pad, a freighter and a station (normal or Atlas) or near a landing beacon.

Otherwise it use fuel, with some update to reduce the ratio.

Finally, with a mod you can reduce till 1% the fuel usage for the take off

But launchthrusters have to be refilled with fuel (like in tutorial) to make a lift off? Iron and that blue cristals (H) mixed up to make fuel. So what it is needed for and how it works exaclty? As i Said at the surface of a planet i can launch 5 times and i dont loose any fuel for thrusters (playing at hard/permadeathmode)

You are clearly using landing pads and beacons. Land in the middle of nowhere and then take off, it will use fuel.

ok understand. Is that a bug or a feature cause thats not rly logic. Beacons are the pillars that have to be activated with special item right? So if i call my ship in the wildernis it will use fuel ? Cause i paly tutorai lat the moment and i reached the big crashed frighter and activate that pillar there and if i land around this pillar also some hundred meters around my ship still dont use some fuel. So the radius seems litte bit bigger around the beacon right?

Its working as intented, if you see a big green circle when you land or call it to a pad or beacon it will take no fuel to take off.

Later on you'll find many situations where that isnt an option, and you'll have to decide if its worth landing to get what you want.

You're welcome, happy to help. I'm stuck at work today so all i can do is contribute to the forums for now. My personal excitement level for getting home is palpable.

If you have another question let me know, im still learning (relearning) a lot of stuff since my last play but progress is good.

Simce you've been to freighters, the terrain manipulator is your best friend there, charging it with magnetized ferrite is key. Only takes 20 and you refine it from pure ferrite. Im farming far less rocks now. And watch when you open those cargo pods, full of goodies...and a ton of radiation.
