It it possible to abandon your own starship?
I found one and realized that I added it to my collection and it's ugly, broken, and being an eyesore in my freighter. I tried destroying it with another ship but somehow killed myself by killing it...

I just wanna get rid of this thing and go back to having just one ship.

you cant now but you can exchange it for a new better looking ship.

I think you can still crash it but I haven't tried it in years.

If you added, then there is no way to get rid of it. Just fix the basics (landing and engine), go to the space station and exchange it for free with a ship that have less slots. I think around 5 less.
Than land in a planet and summon your main ship.

You can I think. If you get destroyed in space while near a planet, I think it spawns you on the planet with a damaged ship
